A Bird’s and Dog’s Eye View
Star Rose Quartz
Bentley: Leo, that is a beautiful quartz crystal mineral. I love the star formation in it. The one we are displaying at Birds on the Brink Sanctuary is similar to this one and is also a sphere. But is it true they can present in all different shapes, colors, and sizes?
Leo: Yes, it’s true and it is stunning, isn’t it? The pink star formation in the crystal fascinates us because it reminds us of the stars of the Universe. And that we are part of the greater whole. The star-like concentration is created from reflected or refracted light from the quartz composition. The Star Rose Quartz is so dynamic because of its luminescence and it exhibits a beautiful pale pink-to-rose red hue. The color is generally considered to be due to trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese.
Bentley: Leo, let’ not forget to tell our viewers that it is thought that this quartz is considered a “stone of beauty and love” and it may promote compassion, appreciation, and soothing calm to its holders.
Leo: You bet! Good thing to know.
