A Wrinkle in Time – Tesser Theory
Bentley: Hey Leo, I just saw the movie, “A Wrinkle in Time” (2018) and loved it. There were lots of things in the movie that fascinated me. But the one concept that I was particularly interested in was Tessering: the possibility of moving out of time and space to no time and space. What freedom that could be! So, Leo, have you ever heard about Tessering?
Leo: You bet, Bentley! The concept called Tessering would allow us to travel a billion light years in the snap of a finger. Now how cool would that be! It’s basically the idea of moving beyond the speed of light or the wrinkling of time and space to move beyond it. The movie takes our known concept of time and space and illustrates in a brilliant way the possibility of no time and space. It stimulates in us a curiosity and a desire to explore what potentially “more” there is in our vast Universe.
Bentley: Wow! What an amazing explanation. It jarred me out of worrying about my safety and survival.
Leo: Exactly! When we’re not concerned about our safety and survival, we get to consider the greater Universe we’re a part of. We can explore what “A Wrinkle in Time” is really saying, which is that time is a fabrication on Earth that puts things in little packages. It says there is a minute, an hour, and a day. But Bentley, when we take the time frame off of the Universe, which we are all a part of, we find there is so much more that’s going on. When we’re less restricted by what we know to be true, we can then allow for greater potential and possibility to be revealed!
